Here's a picture of what it looks like to build a phonoscope.

The "magic boxes" are constructed with CMD board, cheap and very easy to work with.

Despite my attempt to design all plans digitally, the pencil and paper came in very handy. We decide to make a wall support with a "french cleat" that also has a handy heaphone mount cut into it.

The boxes are primed and the viewers glued into place with Gorilla Glue (PS-don't get this stuff on your hands!).

Painted with One-Shot enamel sign paint. This stuff is thick and SHINY.

When the paint finally dries, it's time to mount equipment in the boxes.

After spending so much time with the phonoscope, I begin to think that it's watching me.
